Taxes & equality

Remember the steadily increasing US Gini coefficient?

The President's budget and tax proposals are aimed at bringing it down.

  1. I guess we have to hope that the health/education spending works, because raising the income of the middle class will be necessary to make up for the lack of investment by the wealthy. The taxation of the wealthy lowers investment, and in order to make up for this the middle class are going to need a reasonably "healthy" MPS to make sure that investment rises with their increased income.
